With much of the crop across the Corn Belt harvested and growers looking to make their seed purchase decisions for the next growing season, it is important each grower utilizes the tools available to effectively make these decisions for the upcoming year.

Whether you use Advantage Acre®, Climate FieldView^TM or a different option to break down your harvest data, figuring out the next step to effectively utilize your data can be a challenge at times. Advantage Acre provides many tools to make planning for the upcoming year more efficient.

Utilizing hybrid yield by soil type data from Climate FieldView, we can begin by analyzing last year’s hybrids’ performance.  Next, using Advantage Acre provided soil data you can begin to identify products that performed well in the soil types present in your fields under your management practices. Including your local LG Seeds product expert such as a TTA, SAM or dealer throughout this process is highly recommended as well to help make planting population decisions, trait decisions, and any other key management decisions for next year's seed plan.

As you identify through this process hybrids that excel under your management practices in the soil types present throughout your field, you can begin to place hybrids field by field.  Advantage Acre provides a feature that allows you to easily create a seed plan detailing hybrid(s), planned planting population, seed size, and units needed for that specific field.  Advantage Acre will allow for up to 5 hybrids/varieties in an individual field and offers a variable rate planting option as well.

After creating a seed plan for your acres for the upcoming growing season, Advantage Acre provides the ability to print out a detailed report of your seed plans for the year. You know even the best laid plans get changed when mother nature is involved and provide the option within your seed plan report to record the actual events for each field as you complete planting.
